Fresh off the Press

Two new cards were printed at WNYBAC this week -

The perfect way to say I hate you:


"I Really Hate You" is printed in magenta ink on silver and textured off-white paper.


A traditional globe printed from a vintage block:




The globe is printed in dark grey-blue ink on cream with deckled edge or heavy grey paper.

Both cards are available for $3 each in our store (that's just $2.40 for members!)

Fresh off the Press


Fresh off the press this week we have the third printing of the "Buffalo Hates You Too!" card, as well as a more friendly version for those who would like to show some affection for our fair city.


Also new this week are the fraction to decimal conversion cards, for when you need a truly practical greeting card.

Fresh off the Press: Congrats



Just in time for graduation, our newest cards printed at the Book Arts Center simply say "Congrats," and they are printed on grey, rust, and gold paper. What makes these hand printed cards special is the use of thermography. Thermography is a process that uses embossing powder and heat to create a textured finish on the still freshly inked letters. The cards were finished with two different types of embossing powder.

One type creates a glossy finish on the letters:



The other type of powder used on these cards creates a textured, metallic finish:
